I set up a couple of paste rigs and a pellett / corn rig and first put in on my 11 metre paste line I had a carp of about 9lb, and prepared to spend the day "sacking up". I have to say that things didn't exactly go to plan as three hours later I still had one very lonely looking carp in my net as my efforts to place some of his mates in the net failed miserably. Two hours from the end (after a few laps of the lake) I had my second and final carp of the day and for the first time in ages packed up with about half an hour to go, feeling very disappointed. So disappointed infact that I actually put my fish back without weighing in and those who read this drivel regularly will know I hardly ever do that.
Mick Keeper (picture below with part of his winning catch) caught mostly on a method feeder to the middle of the island but also added a few on his pole line for a convincing victory.
